UPMC Italy is issuing a call for applications for the following no-term position: 1 Medical Device Expert (Ref. EDM/20)

The Medical Device Expert is responsible for the acknowledgment, planning, and qualitative and quantitative assessment of medical device requirements, and for drafting technical specifications for bid processes and awarding of medical device supplies. He/she also provides guidelines for the use, storage, and management of medical devices, and monitoring consumptions for purpose of rationalizing expenditure.

The ideal candidate possesses the following requisites:

  • Master’s degree in the health care or scientific-technological sector
  • Documented professional experience in the field of medical devices of at least three years, preferably in abdominal and cardiothoracic settings within nationally-renowned public and private hospitals, bodies, or institutes.
  • English proficiency and perfect knowledge of main computer systems.
  • Knowledge of the Italian laws on hospital pharmacy, with a specific focus on medical devices.

Good communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, time and stress management, confidentiality, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are also instrumental to the role.

The contract offered will be commensurate with the experience and skills of the selected candidate.

The workplace is Palermo.
