UPMC Italy is issuing a call for applications for the following fixed-term position: 1 Quality Nurse (Ref. QN RM/19 TD)

The Quality Nurse (QN) assists the Director, Quality & Patient Safety in the management of UPMC Italy centers’ quality programs and in the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation program. In his/her daily activity, the QN conducts quality improvement projects together with staff from other UPMC Italy centers, supports the management of quality indicators, internal audit programs, and reporting of adverse events. Together with other educators, the QN manages BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) training for UPMC Italy clinical staff.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • University degree qualifying for the nursing profession, or equivalent title.
  • Enrollment in the Italian Board of Registered Nurses.
  • Knowledge of quality management models (JCI and/or ISO).
  • English proficiency.
  • Excellent knowledge of information technology tools, especially Excel.
  • Previous working experience in the field of quality/clinical risk/infection control and quality improvement projects.
  • Experience with JCI accreditation.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g.: PSCXL, minitab, etc.).
  • BLS/ACLS instructor certification.
  • Previous experience in internal audits.

Complete the profile: Proactivity, reliability, stress management, problem solving, and teamwork skills in a dynamic and fast-evolving environment are also instrumental to the role.

Workplace: Rome.
