UPMC Italy is issuing a call for applications for the following fixed-term position: 1 Radiation Oncologist (Ref. MR UPMC/20)

UPMC Italy offers professional opportunities in an international and multicultural setting at UPMC San Pietro FBF Advanced Radiotherapy Center in Rome. The Center offers innovative radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery with advanced care protocols for cancer patients. In 2017, the Center received accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI).

The Radiation Oncologist reports and interprets images from different diagnostic imaging methods (MRI, CT, RX, mammography, bone mineral density, ultrasound). He/she is also responsible for the safety and quality of all used devices. The radiation oncologist reports to the director of health care activities, to the medical director and to the operations manager of the Center.


  • Degree in Medicine and Surgery.
  • Specialization in Radiotherapy.
  • Professional license.
  • Enrollment in the professional board of physicians.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Working experience in private health care facilities or public hospitals.

Other requisites:

  • Knowledge of patient care methods.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic imaging devices and of their correct use to ensure full compliance with the patient safety standards.
  • Knowledge of patient management regulations in terms of informed consent, exposure to ionizing radiations and electromagnetic fields.
  • Ability to manage the RIS-PACS corporate system.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Stress management skills.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Ability to assess own learning needs.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, and flexibility.
  • Organizational and time management skills.

The contract offered will be commensurate with the experience and skills of the selected candidate. The duration of the contract is 12 months.

The workplace is Rome.
