UPMC Italy is issuing a call for applications for the following fixed-term position: 1 Thoracic Surgery Fellow (Ref. Torac/21 TD)

In consideration of the current COVID-19 health emergency, the selected candidate may be involved in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department in support of the clinical-assistance activity in the 2 ICUs currently open (COVID and non-COVID).
The selected candidate will participate in thoracic surgeries and lung transplants, which include operating room activity, procurement and transplant, clinical management of patients, and research activity.
The ideal candidate has surgical and scientific experience in thoracic surgery; experience in the management of major thoracic surgical procedures in the scope of transplantation and elective and emergency thoracic general surgery; strong ability for interdisciplinary work and problem solving; ability in clinical research; knowledge of the main computer applications, and flexibility.
The workplace is Palermo.
